Robe to Adelaide

We were back on the road today, hugging the coast for most of the day to the east of The Coorong. This system of lakes, which are formed from the waters of the Murray River, are home to many species of water birds including pelicans. We stopped for a short walk to see the pelican islands.
We planned to cross the Murray at Wellington but were surprised to find a car ferry rather than a bridge.
We now entered a wine growing region and stopped at a couple of vineyards to taste. Evan was very pleased to find Currency Creek where we bought port. The boys picked grapes and talked to the horses.
Driving into Adelaide the weather turned. I'm really hoping it clears up for the Barossa tomorrow.
