We spent today with family and friends, celebrating L's 4th birthday at Clifton Hill park. It's a great park with the play equipment made of old timber with shady trees and sand pits. The best part would have to be the long metal slide on the side of the hill, although it's not quite wide enough for some adults.
The children enjoyed stories from Uncle Bruce.
We ate sausages and chips and cake and enjoyed the warm weather.
Later, Esther and I left the men with the kids and had an hour shopping on Brunswick St, a must do when in Melbourne. I managed to restrain myself and only bought two skirts. Now where in my box will I fit them?
Birdie and Esther have the most amazing garden. Yes I said it, it comes close to ours, but comes in second because they don't have a creek. But I am super jealous of all the sun it gets and the fantastic fruit and veg they can grow. The fig tree is spectacular and was covered in ripe purple fruit. And based on the number of figs I consumed today, I'm going to be paying for that tomorrow.
