Broulee to Bitangabee Bay

We all had a good night sleep, apart from a little bit of noise from the main road. The boys slept in until 7! Unheard of! It helps that the tent is a heavy canvas and doesn't let in the light.
We packed up and drove down to Broulee beach. I spent quite a few holidays here with my aunt when I was at uni but it's been years since I've been back. I was pleased to see that her little house was still there, just as she'd left it, painted blue and surrounded by trees.
On the road we passed through Maruya after stopping at the quarry by the river where they got the granite to build the Harbour Bridge pylons.
We stopped for morning tea in Bodalla at the cheese factory and again in Bega for more cheese.
Finally we made it to Eden and on to Ben Boyd NP to Bitangabee Bay camp site. We stopped at the lookout of Disaster Bay which was really spectacular.
It was a long drive along a dirt road but the camp ground seems good and well maintained. After dinner we took the boys down to the little beach. I think we'll have a swim tomorrow...and find another lighthouse.
